The class will explore the appraisal process and the history of the appraisal profession, during redlining. Let's examine the recent law cases and surveys on the subject and then wrap up with what steps can be taken if bias has taken place in the appraisal process.

Rebecca "Becky" Jones began her career selling Real Estate in 1987 before evolving into a NYS Certified Appraiser in 1993. She has served on numerous committees and received many accolades over the years including: Greater Binghamton Board of REALTORS® President, 1997; Local REALTOR®/Appraiser of the Year, 1998; NYS Society of Real Estate Appraisers’ President, 2009; NYSAR Appraisal Committee Chair, 2017; Local REALTOR® of Year, 2018; NAR Real Property Valuation Chair, 2018. She has served on various NYS DOS Appraisal Board Task Groups (AMC Law, FHA Updates, Fair Housing/Fair Lending education and PAREA 2010-Current); The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC) 2018 – 2020 and the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA).
